That old familiar smell

I'm so sick of wet basements and damp carpets.  The water on the weekend could have been from a leaking shower, but today's water had to be from something else.  The mini sump pump that deals with condensation from our furnace was not working because it has been connected through a dodgy extension cord.  Without the pump functioning, the water would just overflow onto the floor and into the downstairs carpet.

Oh, and I learned that you can flush a dish cloth down the toilet by accident.

That's enough learning for one day I figure.
