OK, tomorrow is:
- Time to move back from the hotel to our next round of Housecamping.
- Back to work, after being on holidays while we were at the hotel.
- The beginning of kitchen cabinet installation!
Before the floors get completely covered with Masonite, I got a few pictures of the refinishing.
The island on wheels has moved around a lot in the past couple of weeks. Soon, it will settle into its permanent position.
The flooring between the new part and the old part matches much better than these pictures would have you believe. This is mostly a colour balance issue with the photos and lighting.
Codreanu, installing slate at the kitchen entrance.
Frank brought a few of the kitchen cabinets to the house today. They looked very good, though much of what we saw was the innards. We also started discussing bath vanities with Frank. I feel like we're a bit late with these...hopefully this will not slow things down too much.
We also ordered up the Ikea cabinets for the laundry room and the downstairs bath vanity. We also went to Home Despot and picked up the laundry sink and a new sink for the downstairs bathroom.
We also met with the contractor today to go over things. "Go over things", being a euphemism for "things that will cost more". Although this is not a pleasant thing, the contractor is being very reasonable on the whole, and it is also comforting to know that the list of things we don't have firm costs for is getting shorter all the time.
