Stuff

I didn't take any pictures yesterday, but here is a quick update on things.

It was cold and rainy outside, so no not much exterior work was done.  The guys did get the cedar soffit installed near the new kitchen entrance.  Today, they will start on the plywood panels for the second storey.

Inside the house, more door and baseboard trim was installed, and the drywall repairs in the bedroom continued.  The electrician was here, and we now have basic lighting rigged up everywhere.  That makes things nicer in the evenings and early mornings.

Preston Hardware delivered the remaining plumbing fixtures.  The main kitchen sink came in a wooden crate.  We'll have to save the crate for afterwards and try and make something out of it.

The laundry cabinets aren't installed, but someone was clearly working down there, so perhaps today or tomorrow they will get installed.

The painter is here today to prime the walls in the basement, and also to paint the North wall of the kitchen.  Because the upper cabinets have such an irregular layout, it will be much simpler to paint the wall and then put up the cabinets versus doing things the other way around.

Here's a refresher from the scale model of how the upper cabinets will be arranged.

North Wall Cabinetry...a painter's bad dream.
