Although the camping thing can be annoying, we have at the very least settled into habits and routines, and can do most daily chores on autopilot. I guess that means time for a change.
Since flooring starts this coming week, we're busy dismantling the campsite on the main floor so that the floors can be refinished. On Wednesday, we'll be moving back to Les Suites until after Thanksgving. There is still lots to do, but yesterday we at least got the piano moved into the front vestibule. That's one big chore dealt with.
Also yesterday, we finalized the doorknob and hinge selections, and started looking for light fixtures. It'll take a bit more research to finalize the lighting choices, but we made very good headway for a first visit.
While we're out of the house, the floor finishes will sand the floors and put 2 coats of finish on, after which we will move back and resume housecamping. A third coat of finish will go on the floors once the rooms have been painted. I imagine we may have to move out once more when that is happening, though it may be possible to start setting up some of the house "for real" once the third coat is on the floors. Our front entrance will probably be out of commission from now until after the third coat is on the floors.
Since we're going to the hotel on Wednesday, we're going to forego our usual Sunday trip to Laundry Land and stretch out things until we can do wash mid-week at the suite.
