Waiting to put on the roof

The past two days have been good weather, but the guys have had to fill in the time with odd jobs while waiting for the electrical wires to get moved.  The main job that got done was to build the second-storey balcony that comes off the master bedroom.  This balcony provides shelter to the ground floor entrance.

The balcony will be partially supported by an exterior post, not yet installed.  In this picture, the post will be on the right-hand side, near where the ramp leads up to the exterior door.  There will be wraparound steps to approach the ground floor entrance, either from the angle in the photo, or from the angle of the ramp.  The supporting post for the balcony will "come through" the landing for the ground floor entrance.  That's probably a confusing description, but it will become more apparent once it is built.

Now that the electrical wires have been moved, it should be full steam ahead to start on the roof.  There is a fresh load of building materials in the driveway.  Most of the debris has been cleaned out of the basement, so I suppose we may be getting the basement floor poured before too long as well.
