Answers to your questions

A couple of questions have come in recently in the blog comments.

Q: A burmese cat who somehow got on the Internet asks:  "will there be any good hiding places?"

A: Indoor cats will not be allowed on the construction site for the foreseeable future.  Exceptions for neighbourhood outdoor cats will be made on a case by case basis.  Once the addition is done, the floor plan will be very open, so there will be few hiding places until at least some cabinetry is installed.  Changes to the existing house will involve making new hiding places, though.  Oh, and to answer your next question, yes, there will be new sunny spots.

Q:  Maddy asks:  "Isn't having Christo deal with your drainage problems going to blow the entire reno budget?"

A:  You'd think so, but in this case no.  He just dropped by and installed the tarp, just like the photo caption says.  He was probably coming home from Fun Fair.

keep those questions coming!

  1. Christo - isn't he related to the vegetable shortening people? No wonder he's cheap....

  4. Chuck - are you planning to put any stairs between the first and second floor? how do you get up there? Will there be glass in the second floor window or will that be open too? Is this like some big camping project?

  5. we're going to have to climb through the window to get to the reno part of the second floor. the tricky bit is going to be getting the furniture into the rooms.

  6. Furniture - who said anything about furniture? This is minimalist baby - all white, no nothing inside, just light bulb or two.
