We did a lot of running around, but most of it was very productive.
On Saturday, we started off at Marchand Electric, looking at light fixtures. We spent quite a bit of time there, and have our order in pretty good shape. We need to get a formal quote, and then we'll be able to go ahead and order some fixtures. Then it was off to a few furniture stores to look at bedroom furniture. We settled on some stuff from Ikea that will fit the bill, at least for now. Then we had to make a trip to Loblaws to get a few things, and after that it was dark outside.
On Sunday morning, I spent some time to recharge the water softener for the espresso machine, and getting it ready to put back into service. While the water softener was doing its business, I went around and shot some photos for the blog. Then it was off to a mattress store to pick out a new mattress for our bed. I have no idea why they're still selling mattresses when almost everybody already has a bed :-) After that, we stopped on Wellington St. to buy some "heat up" food for the next few days, and get a coffee at Bridgehead. Once we got home, I had to get caught up on the bookkeeping and cash-flow projections, and by then it was dark outside again.

doorknobs for the new exterior doors. We also put one of these on the side door.
The fasteners for the exterior plywood panels have been changed from countersunk screws to exposed hex-head screws with 1/2" washers.
It's not a contemporary house unless you use some corrugated metal somewhere. The flashing on the corners has not been installed yet.
