We had the plumber here on the weekend (see previous post). When he left, he had not put the furnace condensation line into a drain, rather it was just draining into a bucket. But not just draining into a bucket...there was a 5+ foot drop (5.5m) in the bucket, and the loose end of the condensation hose was just hanging there. When the pump would fire up to pump out the accumulated condensation, most of it would hit the bucket, but there'd also be a bunch of water all over the floor. I was not anxious to get back to wet basement floors, so I found few pieces of scrap drain pipe, and some duct tape and rigged a little drain so the water could find its way to the bucket without going everywhere.
omg a red circle, just like the ones they use on PhotoshopDisasters. Can you enhance that area?
That's the plastic drain line in the centre of the pic, entering my Rube Goldberg drain pipe. Spiffy blue duct tape, too!
oh crap, is that water on the floor leaking from the shower? I asked you not to tell me that!
Cover over the crack with some Tuck Tape, and hope for the best.
Could this mean the end of the Orgasmatron?
