More drywall progress etc.

Lots of taping and plastering today, along with a bit more of the electrical tidy-up work.  Still a bit more drywall to hang, and lots of finishing work yet to do with the drywall.

Tomorrow morning we are meeting with a supplier of cut stone such as granite and marble.  We didn't think we'd be using any of this for the renovation, but after talking things over with the Tile Guy, there are several small ledges in the showers of both bathrooms where water and mildew can collect in the tile grout, so it would be better to install a continuous piece of stone.  We'll take a first look at materials and colours tomorrow, but the final choice will need to wait until we can get a sample of the floor tile back from the tile shop (unfortunately we just returned the sample a few days before).  On Thursday, we are meeting with a window covering supplier to look at blinds for the big south window, and probably the other windows in the bedroom.  The top section of the south window will get a motorized blind, as there isn't any other easy way to raise and lower this blind from the bedroom once the loft actually becomes a loft and you can't just step across.

The new vent hood has arrived.  We'll have to open it up soon to verify it is in better condition than the last one.
