Kitchen-In-Kitchen

Jane, Frank, and Gerald had a meeting today to look at the kitchen ductwork and how to modify the cabinetry.  I have solid meetings all day Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, so I couldn't attend.  Frank came armed with a new scale model of his current ideas.

Keep in mind, the kitchen island is not actually L-shaped like the one shown here.  He didn't have scraps of the correct size around to model the full width of the island so the "L" piece shows the true (to scale) width.

The "shelf" along the wall shows the level and depth of the bulkhead that will cover up the ductwork.  The vertical ductwork on the right would be hidden behind the fridge.

The plan for the upper cabinets is to have an undulating line of different-sized cabinets to distract from the horizontal line of the bulkhead.

our kitchen is made of plywood and tinfoil.  The tinfoil panels on the island will be stainless steel drawers.

shiny fridge eh?
