Weekend Update

Another weekend of supply and logistics work, though not as busy as the past couple of weekends.  We returned tile samples to the various places that loaned us samples.  The tile choices are in good shape, modulo any advice we get from the tile setter prior to ordering.  Next up was a couple of flooring places to look at hardwood and laminate.  After that, since it was Saturday, it was off to you know where to look at kitchen sinks and faucets.  Then time to head for home and update the various order lists and spreadsheets we use to track all this stuff.

Still a few details to refine with the windows in order to match the basement window trim to the trim on the main floor and second floor windows.  One of the basement windows is prophetically numbered W13 on the window schedule.

I finally got a chance today to shoot a few photos of the foundation once the backfill was complete.

The backfill is done.  The opening for the notorious W13 window is visible at left.

The first step is a doozy...

No fairies were harmed during the excavation and backfill

I can stand in all sorts of new places to take photos now.
