Lots of detail work over the past few days to pick out various products we'll be using.
- Met with a prospective window supplier, and took a close look at their product and the details of what was quoted. Looks like the window order is more or less in good shape.
- Meeting with the contractor and the architect to go over various items that people needed to know.
- We looked at a bunch of contemporary style houses in the area to see what we liked and disliked about the exterior materials that were used. Then I spent a bit of time revising some old Sketchup models to see how the exterior material scheme would look.
- Went to a nice tile shop, and have the basics of a tile scheme together for the two bathrooms. There's at least one more tile shop to visit before we're done.
- Looked at glass block styles for one glass block window that we'll be having put in, and checked out some wood flooring options at the same place.
- Played around with various options for the back deck to make it functional, but lessen the overall impact on the yard compared to what is shown on the plan.
- Got a big spreadsheet together to track the myriad variable-cost items, and whether we are over or under our projections.
- How much data could there possibly be to consider when picking out a low-flow toilet that works well?
- The eternal question of colour schemes for he kitchen floor.
Phew.
