Happy New Year from Ren-Oh! I never thought this project, and the associated blog would still be gong by now, but as goes the project, so goes the blog. Here's hoping 2009 will be the year of "finishing the thing".

The bedroom as an actual bedroom
It's not just a place to camp anymore. Now that Codreanu has cleared away the tile saw and we have unpacked the last of our things, we have been able to use the bedroom in more or less its final form. There is still some Masonite tucked behind the armoire, and the unsightly extension cord powering the motorized blind. Other than that, things are looking good, except for a bit of paint fix-up, and cleaning up the beams to get rid of plaster, staples, and footprints (!).
We have a shower now! Codreanu finished up the grouting just after Christmas, and the Sergei was here to install the faucet and shower head yesterday.
