Good thing we have the storm sewer connection…with all the rain we’ve had in the past few days, the sump pump would be going all the time. Nice to not have that to think about.
Instead of dealing with water, we’re now dealing with mud. With the yard freshly dug up, the clay soil is very muddy. We put down some bark mulch to try and keep the worst of it off our shoes. It helps somewhat.
Pascal, the electrician, was here on Friday to dig a trench for the buried electrical wire that runs between the house and the garage. It was a wet, humid day, and with the heavy soil he didn’t make it all the way in one go.
Billy Shelves, then and now
A year ago, I was taking apart Billy shelves and stacking ‘em up like firewood. Recall the scene…
This weekend, we re-assembled the last* of the shelves.
*There was one shelf not put back together, but since we’d raided some of the interior shelves along the way so it doesn’t really go together the way things were.
