Everyone was back to it today, including electricians! We had two of them working here all day, and they will be here tomorrow as well. Lots of light fixtures got installed today, including track lighting in the studio, Simone's room, and the ensuite. Also, several of the hallways lights, plus the "Kessler" wall sconce were installed.
Andrew was here in the afternoon to finish connecting the ducting from the new downstairs bathroom fan to the outside of the house.
Codreanu was busy in the kitchen with tiles.
backsplash along the counter, and behind the range with the white subway tile we used for the bathroom walls.
hmmm....he ran out of tile before we got to the range hood.
this is the end of the backsplash, until the next tile order comes in.
It wasn't a total surprise that we'd run out of tile today, as we ended up doing a bit more area in both bathrooms. There is more on order, as we will be using the same tile yet again in the basement shower. However, by the time this tile comes in, Codreau will be off to another job, so we'll have to wait our turn to get the kitchen finished up. This will probably scuttle my photo project for the week, as the half-complete tile looks more unfinished than no tile at all. I will take my time in the house to find some shots that work well, and learn how to use Doug's lights. Then when the tile is complete, I can redo things with the complete kitchen.
Besides the electrical work tomorrow, we also expect to get the glass railing installed outside on the second-storey balcony (weather permitting of course).
