AGO

Last time we were in Toronto, we visited the newly-renovated Art Gallery of Ontario, and saw most of the building, including all the cool new staircases.

…but there was one part that was “on my list” that we somehow never found out how to access…this being the “Galleria Italia” atrium that overlooks Dundas St.

This time we got there, and it was worth the trip back.  I’ll have a few more images to post, but in the meantime here’s a detail shot of some of the doug fir structural elements.

This shot is actually two semi-random shots stitched together.  I was amazed to find there are virtually no stitching errors given the amount of repetitive detail in the source images, plus how carelessly they were shot.  The colours are a bit pushed here, but it also was nice warm late afternoon light.
