Gerald finished Jane's worktable for the studio yesterday.
The top, shelf, and main structure are made of marine-grade mahogany plywood, a good deal of which was left over from the renovation. The legs and edging are solid mahogany. We'll put some polyurethane on it this weekend, and it'll be good to go.
Solid enough to use as bunk beds, and at 4'x7', future owners of our house will puzzle over how the thing ever got into the room (hint: build it in there)...not to mention how the hell to ever get it out of there. After he finished, Gerald engaged in a bit of mischief that will increase the puzzlement factor. But that will have to wait until next time!
