Frank was by yesterday and today to install the work surface in Jane’s office space.
…a little better look at things.
It’s a glued-up panel of oak, to match the flooring with a clear urethane finish.
The panel has grooves on its sides that fit into pieces of right-angled steel, fixed to the side walls. The steel creates a black reveal between the work surface and the wall.
room at the back to thread cords behind the desk.
The basement shower is nearing completion. All the tile is installed and grouted, and we picked up an inexpensive marble sill at Home Despot. We still need to get a glass panel to separate the shower from the toilet.
The old shower head and faucet has been installed, except for the faucet handle. We need to track down a replacement set screw for the faucet handle. The old one is apparently in the drain somewhere.
