We were fortunate to get an invite to watch the fireworks from a boat on Charleston Lake, instead of watching from shore. The fireworks are a popular event, and there was a very large flotilla of boats that turned out to see the show; maybe upwards of a hundred boats. I've never been on the water with that many small boats at the same time, certainly not after dark.
These shots are reflections of the running lights of various boats floating near us as the night grew darker.
The exodus after the fireworks was pretty orderly, given that all you could see was running lights from boats everywhere going different directions. Fortunately it was a calm night and our host knew the lake very well.
