The new Ottawa Convention Center opened this spring, just before I left for California. You can see a bit of it in the right of the photo. The new landscaping around the canal is nice, though I assume there will be some plants coming this summer.
The convention center itself is one of those buildings that could only be done in the age of computerized design and manufacturing. Each pane of glass in the big wall o' glass is unique, as is each structural steel member to form the frame for the wall.
Looks very cool. Too bad I missed it. Leroy
